Content Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
This content policy applies to every photo you upload to SiPhotoEditor, every edit instruction you write and every image the editor returns. It sits alongside our Terms of Service, which list the rest of the rules for using the service. If something on this page and the terms ever seem to disagree, the stricter rule applies.
Violence and gore are not allowed
Do not upload, request or create images that show any of the following, whether the people in them are real or not:
- blood, bleeding, open wounds, cuts, gashes, or burns and bruises caused by violence;
- injuries, broken bones, mutilation, dismemberment, severed body parts or exposed organs;
- dead, dying or seriously injured people or animals, corpses, and crime-scene or accident imagery;
- torture, executions, beheadings, lynching, massacres or terrorist attacks;
- a person being shot, stabbed, beaten, strangled or otherwise attacked, or a weapon pointed at or used on a person;
- self-harm or suicide, including methods and their results;
- cruelty to animals;
- “gore” effects on a photo of a real person, including fake blood, wounds, zombie bites or other horror makeup, even as a joke or costume idea;
- anything that praises, promotes or glorifies violence, violent extremist groups or attacks.
Other content that is not allowed
- nudity, sexually explicit or sexually suggestive content, including “undress” edits;
- any sexual or sexualized image of a minor, or any edit of a child that is not wholesome and made by or with the permission of a parent or guardian;
- intimate, embarrassing or altered images of a real person made without that person’s consent;
- face swaps and deceptive deepfakes, impersonation, and altered ID documents, certificates or receipts;
- harassment, threats, bullying or hateful content aimed at people or groups;
- other people’s copyrighted photos or artwork, or removing watermarks and signatures, without the right to change them;
- anything that is unlawful where you live, or that helps someone commit fraud or another crime.
How every edit is checked before it runs
Before credits are reserved or any model is called, each edit instruction goes through several independent checks. The edit only starts when all of them allow it:
- Waffo Prompt Screening, our payment provider’s safety service, which checks for sexual content, “undress” edits, face swaps and anything involving minors.
- Creem content moderation, a second, independent screening service.
- Our own violence and gore screen: a list of words that always block an edit, followed by an AI check written for the violence rules above.
- The model provider’s safety filters, which can still stop an edit while it runs. Its credits then return automatically.
If any check is unavailable, the edit does not run and nothing is charged; we never skip a check to keep the service moving. The checks read your written instruction. Your photo is processed only by the editing model and its provider’s own filters, so you remain responsible for what you upload.
What happens when content breaks this policy
- Blocked instruction. The edit is refused before it starts, no credits are taken, and you see a message saying why.
- Logged for review. A refused instruction is saved for 90 days with the account it came from, so a person can review patterns of abuse.
- Automatic pause. Five refused instructions within 24 hours pause editing on the account for 24 hours.
- Account action. After review we may delete the images involved, warn the account holder, suspend the account, or close it permanently. Credits left in an account closed for breaking this policy may be lost, as our terms explain.
- Law enforcement. Child sexual abuse material is reported to the relevant authorities, and credible threats of violence may be too.
How to report content
Anyone can report content made with SiPhotoEditor, with or without an account. Use the form below or email support@siphotoeditor.com. Include a link to the image or page, or the task reference, and say what is wrong. Reports about yourself, such as an edited photo of you made without your consent, are welcome and handled first.
How reports are reviewed
- Every report goes to our support inbox and our review queue the moment it is sent.
- A person reviews each report, usually within two business days. Reports involving minors or real people shown without consent are reviewed the same day where possible.
- While a report is under review we may remove the content concerned or pause the account involved.
- If you left an email address, we tell you the outcome.
- If you think one of our decisions was wrong, including a blocked edit, email support@siphotoeditor.com within 30 days and a person will look at it again.
Edited images are kept in the account that made them and are not shown in any public gallery. For how long we keep uploads, results and the records described here, see our Privacy Policy.
