Refund Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
Paying for a photo edit that never arrives would be unfair, and this refund policy is how SiPhotoEditor, the SI photo editor at siphotoeditor.com, prevents it. It lists the refunds that happen without you lifting a finger, the cases where a payment goes back to your card, and the way to reach us. Every SI edit (super intelligence, formerly called AI) is billed to us by a model provider, so this refund policy balances your protection against costs we cannot recover. It covers all credit packs sold on siphotoeditor.com.
Credits come back when an edit fails
Pressing Apply edit reserves the credits for that edit, and they are only consumed once the edited photo is delivered. Under this refund policy we never make you ask for this part: a failed edit puts its full cost back in your balance, typically within seconds and never later than an hour. We treat an edit as failed if:
- the provider answers with an error, or our request never reaches it;
- a provider’s safety filter rejects your photo, your instruction or the finished result;
- 45 minutes pass with no result, and we stop the job;
- the edited photo cannot be saved to our storage.
When an edit fails, the editor shows a short message in place of the result. When our own moderation turns an instruction down, you pay nothing at all, since screening happens before credits are reserved.
Edits that work but disappoint
A photo that comes back edited, but not the way you pictured it, is not a failure under this refund policy. Each attempt costs us a real provider fee, so we cannot return credits for results that are simply not to your taste: a face that shifted slightly, a background that looks too clean, or a change that went further than you wanted. To keep the cost of experiments low, test ideas on Seedream 5 Flash (17 credits per edit), describe what must stay exactly the same, and use “Keep editing this result” to fix one detail instead of starting over.
Everyday situations
- An edit seems stuck. Running edits are re-checked every few minutes, and anything still running at the 45-minute mark is stopped and its credits returned, with no action from you.
- The result is blank, corrupted or obviously broken. Email us the time of the edit and its instruction. We look the edit up in our records, and if the file is technically faulty, the credits are restored.
- The model ignored part of the instruction. Every editing model does this sometimes, and it is not a failure, so the credits stay spent. Shorter instructions that name one change usually work better.
- You deleted an edit. Removing an edit deletes its file; it does not give back the credits spent on it.
- An upload failed. Uploading, comparing, downloading and going back to the original never cost credits, so there is nothing to refund.
Test before you pay
A Google sign-up comes with 80 credits on the house, four Seedream 5 Flash edits’ worth, while the gift center tops you up a little for daily check-ins, invites and more. That way you can see how the editor treats your own photos before spending money. The Apply edit button always displays the price, and every pack is listed on the SI photo editor pricing page. If unsure, start small: every later purchase lands in one balance.
Credit packs and payment refunds
A pack is a single payment, credited as soon as Stripe confirms it and never expiring:
- Starter: 1,100 credits for $9.90 (1,000 base, 10% bonus on top).
- Creator: 3,600 credits for $29.90 (3,000 base, 20% bonus on top).
- Studio: 10,400 credits for $79.90 (8,000 base, 30% bonus on top).
Members who buy a first pack within 48 hours of registering also get 30% extra credits. As credits are usable instantly, a purchase can’t be undone except in the situations below. Under this refund policy we return the payment to the card or method you used when:
- one order was charged to you more than once;
- your payment went through but no credits appeared;
- a fault of ours made the editor unusable for you and we failed to fix it in reasonable time;
- you buy as a consumer in the EU or UK, have not spent any of the pack, and contact us inside 14 days;
- local consumer law entitles you to one.
What happens to credits after a refund
Refunding a payment reverses every credit it brought in: base credits, pack bonus and any new-member extra. Spent credits stay spent: we remove only the unused remainder, so a balance cannot go negative and edits already made are never invoiced. The new-member offer is used up by a first purchase even if that purchase is later refunded.
Gift and bonus credits
Free credits from sign-up or gifts are never converted into money. The one refund this refund policy offers for them is the automatic return when an edit fails, and we may remove them if they were collected through fake or duplicate accounts.
Worked examples
Four short cases show this refund policy in practice:
- A blocked edit. You ask Nano Banana Pro to change a photo and the provider’s filter stops the result. That counts as a failed edit, and all 90 credits are back in your balance within seconds.
- A duplicate charge. Your statement shows the Creator pack twice. Tell us when it happened and how much, and we refund the extra charge completely.
- Credits you no longer need. You finished your project with part of a Studio pack left. The purchase stays final, but the leftover credits remain usable for as long as you like.
- Partial use, then a refund. As a new member you bought Starter and received 1,430 credits (1,000 base, 10% pack bonus, 30% new-member extra). After 10 Nano Banana 2 edits (480 credits), we agreed to refund the pack because of a fault we could not fix. We deduct the 950 credits still in your balance, leaving it at zero, and the 10 edits you made are never billed.
Asking for a refund
For any refund under this refund policy, write to support@siphotoeditor.com using your login email no later than 14 days after paying. Mention the payment date, the amount and the pack. For a broken result, add the instruction and approximate time; for a duplicate charge, attach an image of the two statement lines. Expect an answer within two business days. Money goes back the way it came, and most banks post it within 5 to 10 business days.
Subscriptions, currency and prices
No subscription exists on SiPhotoEditor, so cancelling is never necessary. We bill in US dollars; a card in another currency may pick up conversion fees from your bank, which this refund policy cannot cover, yet every approved refund repays the complete dollar amount. Price changes for packs or models never shrink credits you already own, and the amount shown before an edit is the amount deducted.
Who handles refunds and disputes
Under this refund policy we handle every refund ourselves, not fal.ai or the model makers, so write to the SiPhotoEditor team rather than to them. Please talk to us before opening a bank dispute, since we can usually sort things out faster; an account can be put on hold until a disputed payment is settled. Accounts we shut down under our Terms of Service, say for collecting free credits through fake sign-ups, may lose whatever credits remain.
Changes to this refund policy
This refund policy is updated whenever the service changes, with a fresh date at the top, and each purchase follows the version published on the day you paid. Related reading: our Privacy Policy and the SI photo editor home page. Questions about this refund policy: support@siphotoeditor.com.
